The Project Pumpkin is about redistributing food that would otherwise go to waste. Often it feeds the hungry etc but not always. Every year 14.5 million pumpkins in the UK go to waste following Halloween. One of their projects is to redistribute a little of this.
Lion President Shila collected the pumpkins from Snarestone Farm , Swadlincote on Saturday 20th Nov 21 & distributed them to Guru Amar Das Gurdwara , Geeta Bhavan Temple & to a local School.
