Although Leicester Charnwood Lions Club carries out fund raising events, its fundamental goal of serving the community and those less fortunate then ourselves remains at heart of the Club. Some of the community activities that have taken place in the current and previous years include the following: -

Project Pumpkin to distribute to distribute pumpkins to needy communities;
Providing sleeping bags to the homeless;
Rocket round Leicester project to raise funds for LOROS.

PREVIOUS YEARS
Two School Discos for children with restricted mobility; and
Two Diwali Dinners for the elderly; and
Tin collection and Christmas Hampers for the Help the Aged ; and 
Carol service and Tea party for the visually impaired; and
Diabetic screening and awareness day; and
Coach trip for the elderly.
Service activities undertaken have been limited during the current challenging COVID 19 situation but the club remains hopeful that as the outlook improves then the club will be in a position to organise more service activities.
